Meet Your Ally
Behind every IEP meeting is a parent losing sleep. Behind every 504 plan is a child trying to hold it together.
And too often, behind both… is silence.
I started The IDEA Ally because I’ve sat on both sides of the table — as a teacher, a literacy specialist, and a parent. I know what it’s like to feel outnumbered, outtalked, and overwhelmed by a system that speaks in acronyms instead of answers.
But I also know this: When parents are empowered, children thrive.
That’s why I do this work — to help you understand your rights, to bring clarity where there’s confusion, and to make sure you never walk into another school meeting alone or unheard.

🤝 Why I Do This Work
When you're a parent, you fight hard — but sometimes, it still feels like no one is listening. I’ve been the teacher in those meetings. I’ve seen how overwhelmed parents can feel. That’s why I became an advocate.
I don’t just bring credentials — I bring compassion, experience, and a deep understanding of how schools work behind the scenes. I know what’s possible. I know how to push — respectfully, but firmly. And most importantly, I know how to listen.
